Fees for the 2013 race are as follows:

50 Mile Race Fee:
Before Jan 1: $85
Jan 1 to March 31: $90
April 1 to May 3: $99

25 Mile Race Fee:
Before Jan 1: $75
Jan 1 to March 31: $80
April 1 to May 3: $90

Despite having to cover the costs of two park usage fees, we have endeavored to keep the race cost as reasonable as we feasibly can. We have included an early bird fee as a ‘thank you’ to participants providing the revenue necessary for us to cover some of our early costs by registering way ahead of time. We fully understand that not everyone is prepared, or in a position, to commit that far ahead, so have made that the discount fee. Based on our projected budget numbers, $90 is the fee we have set as the official 50-mile race price and we hope that most people will be able to register before the $10 price increase goes into effect on April 1st, and which we have instituted in an effort to avoid too much last-minute finagling with shirt and supply orders.

Waiting List

In the event that the race sells out, we will maintain a waiting list and transfer runners from the waiting list to the race roster should other runners already registered not be able to attend. Our runner cap for 2013 has been increased to 275 for both races and we will allocate 230 spots to the 50 mile race and 100 spots to the 25 mile race to account for race day no-shows.

Refund Policy

In the event that the race sells out (and there are runners on the waiting list), we will be offering a race-transfer option, allowing runners a full refund – minus a $20 handling fee – if they are not able to race. This option will be available until May 1. If the race does not sell out, then unfortunately we will not be able to offer refunds.

Registered runners may also switch between races. Runners in the 25 mile race can pay the additional $10 registration fee to upgrade to the 50 mile race. There is no fee for 50 mile runners to drop to the 25 mile race. Runners who switch races after April 14th may not be guaranteed a correct race shirt or finisher award (i.e. A 25 mile registrant who upgrades to the 50 may receive a 25 mile race shirt and award from their original registration.)
