Awards

All finishers will receive either a 50 Mile or 25 Mile finisher award. Additional sponsor goodies will be raffled during the awards for each race.

We acknowledge and respect those who experience their gender identity in ways outside of the traditional male/female dichotomy, and are trying our best to provide non-binary opportunities in both the registration and results to reflect that. For the purposes of overall/age-group awards, non-binary runners will be eligible in their birth gender pool.

There will be 1st-3rd male and female awards in both races in the following categories:

Travel

Camping

Backcountry spots are available at Lory State Park. Each involve a 2-3mi one-way hike in or out.

Sorry, but there is no overnight parking allowed at the park / start line. If you’re looking to car camp, know that the City of Fort Collins has an ordinance against overnight vehicle camping, and we’ve yet to hear of any place within a half hour of the start that is both free & legal. The KOA campground below is your closest safe bet (but not free).

Campsites with facilities are available at the south end of Horsetooth Reservoir, approximately 10 miles from the start. These book out way in advance, so plan accordingly.

The closest developed camping is at the KOA off 287, adjacent to Hwy 14/Poudre Canyon.

Hotels

There are a multitude of hotels for every budget in Fort Collins, and any within city limits will be no more than a 20-30 minute drive from the start.

Race day often falls on the same day at Colorado State University’s commencement, which can make availability accommodations tight. If you can, book as far ahead as possible.
