Kris ran her first trail race – the Blue Sky Trail Marathon – in 2014, and immediately knew that this was the sport for her.
Deciding to increase the mileage to ultra marathons, 2016 brought top 10 finishes in her first attempts at both the 50 mile (Quad Rock) and 100km (Never Summer) distances.
The ultimate achievement happened in 2017 becoming the first overall women’s leader of the Gnar Slam and completing her first 100 miler at The Bear. Having her Gnar teammates there every step of the way with words of encouragement helped her accomplish this incredible goal.
For 2018, giving back to the trail running community is her main focus. She will be at every Gnar Race event volunteering and supporting those that have devoted so much time to her.
