In 2013, Colleen discovered running and the opportunities that her two feet could provide. She has run many trail and road half marathons and marathons since finding her passion for the sport.
In 2017 Colleen ran her first 50 mile trail race and is now plotting her journey to more races of that distance and beyond. For 2018, the goal is to take on the Gnar Slam, which means in addition to the Black Squirrel Half, the Blue Sky Marathon, and the Quad Rock 50, she will be setting a new distance record when she takes on the Never Summer 100km.
For Colleen, the best part of trail running has been the new friendships she’s created on and off the trail. When she’s not running, you can find her working with rescue dogs, fishing with her husband, snuggling with her dogs, and stuffing her face with chocolate and beer.
